The News Sports Awards - The King's Theatre, Portsmouth.
Mrs Dimmer was nominated for another award. When they didn't call out her name, she sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the evening. At the end of the evening the compère started to say some amazing things about the person for the Lifetime Achievement Award. It took her a while to realise that it was her he was talking about. She then had to walk onto to the stage and speak in front of a packed King's Theatre. It is not often she is lost for words but this was one occasion. She said ' the children are at heart of our club and we care about them all.'
She would like to thank everyone who made this award possible - our amazing team of coaches, trainee coaches, gymnasts, parents , committee, her husband Ken but to also her daughter Clare ( our Head Coach) without whom none of this would have happened.
We need a need a MAJOR SPONSOR for our build to support our tireless fundraising - hopefully one will come forward now. DO YOU KNOW ANYONE? Mrs Dimmer said that she will not rest until she see the first foundation stone laid.
