We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children, young persons and adults at risk in our sport and our aim is to ensure all who participate in gymnastics have a safe, fun, positive experience and are able to fulfil their potential.
In order to help ensure a safe environment, we provide information and training to our coaches to enable them to respond appropriately if they are worried a child may be at risk or suffering abuse.

We adopt the British Gymnastics Health, safety and welfare guidelines.
We have a trained welfare officer who is the point of contact for any concerns regarding protection and welfare. Any issues will be dealt with sensitively, swiftly and confidentially.

Our welfare officer is Debbie Fokinther. Debbie has seen 4 children attend the Club. She still has one attending and another who has qualified as a coach with FSG. She is DBS checked and has completed British Gymnastics Courses required to hold this role: ‘Time to Listen’ and ‘Safeguarding & Protecting Children’.
